RTC-1 Employment Services is hiring an Expediter cum Logistics Assistant for a reputable Abu Dhabi trading company that supplies steel pipes, flanges and engineered piping components to industrial clients. The role keeps purchase orders and shipments moving on time.
What the role involves
- Monitor purchase orders, follow up with suppliers and vendors, and expedite shipments so piping products and industrial materials arrive on time
- Coordinate local and international shipments, transport schedules, freight forwarders, customs brokers and warehouse teams
- Prepare and maintain shipping documents such as bills of lading, certificates of origin, customs declarations and delivery records, plus logistics performance reports
- Resolve shipment delays, delivery discrepancies and logistics problems with internal departments
Requirements noted by the boards
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics coordination, order expediting, shipping or supply chain operations, ideally with piping products, valves or industrial equipment
- Good knowledge of import and export procedures, customs clearance, Incoterms, freight forwarding and shipping documentation
- Valid UAE driving licence, with access to a vehicle for occasional business travel
- Good written and spoken English
