The 5 checks
1. Is the agent licensed? Only a licensed Overseas Employment Promoter (OEP) may legally recruit Pakistanis for overseas jobs. Ask for the licence number and verify it with the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment (BEOE).
2. Does the job have a Permission Tracking Number? Per BEOE's September 2026 advisory, only licensed OEPs with a Permission Tracking Number may advertise overseas jobs. No number, no job — walk away.
3. Is the job on the BEOE Foreign Jobs Portal? Genuine approved demands are listed there. If your "job" cannot be found, treat it as unverified.
4. What are you being charged? The licensed service charge is capped at Rs 15,000, paid through a bank and released to the agent only after the Protector confirms you joined the job. Demands for lakhs, cash-only payments, or "visa fees" to private accounts are fraud patterns.
5. Who is holding your passport? Never hand your original passport or money to an unauthorised person. And remember BEOE's clearest warning: Trade Testing Centres have no role in visas — any centre claiming it can get you a visa is committing fraud.
If you have already paid a fraudster
Keep every receipt, message and number. Report to BEOE and to the FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) cybercrime/reporting channels in Pakistan. The sooner you report, the better the chance of stopping the same person taking money from the next family.
How Gulf Salary Hub fits in
We publish salary and process information only. We are not agents, we list no vacancies, we charge nothing and we never ask for documents. Any website or person claiming we can "arrange" a job is misusing our name — do not pay them.
