What the role involves
- Inspect and test construction materials, workmanship and mechanical installations against project specifications and quality standards
- Inspect and monitor HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and other MEP work during installation and commissioning
- Identify and document non-conformities, deviations and defects, and coordinate corrective and preventive action with project teams
- Check that construction activities follow approved drawings, building codes, permits, safety and regulatory requirements
Requirements noted by the boards
- Degree or diploma in mechanical engineering, MEP, construction or a related field
- 5+ years of QA/QC inspection experience, with offshore project experience required
- Strong knowledge of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, NCRs, method statements and quality management systems
- Familiarity with ISO standards and codes such as ASTM, ACI, ASME and OSHA; QA/QC certifications are an advantage
