Black Pearl is hiring a Senior Cardiovascular Technologist in Dubai to work in a cardiac electrophysiology (EP) service. The technologist supports specialist cardiac teams during studies and treatment for heart rhythm disorders, working with advanced EP lab systems and cardiac rhythm devices.
What the role involves
- Support electrophysiologists during diagnostic EP studies and catheter ablation procedures
- Set up, operate and troubleshoot EP recording, mapping and monitoring systems
- Monitor intracardiac signals during cases and pass procedural data to the clinical team
- Assist with pacemaker and implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implantation, testing and follow-up
- Prepare patients, equipment and procedure rooms before each case
- Keep accurate clinical and procedural records
- Follow patient safety, infection control and radiation protection standards
Requirements noted by the source board
- Bachelor's degree in a cardiovascular technology programme
- Practical experience in a cardiac electrophysiology service or EP laboratory
- Valid DHA licence as a Cardiovascular Technologist, or eligibility to obtain one
- Experience with EP mapping and recording systems, cardiac rhythm interpretation, and pacemaker / ICD programming and troubleshooting
- A recognised certification in cardiac electrophysiology or cardiac rhythm management is an advantage
