About this opening
Kershaw Leonard is hiring a Product & Operations Associate in Ras Al Khaimah for a client building a technology platform for the UAE manpower and construction industries. It is a founding-team role: the associate bridges the operational reality of contractors, PRO managers and site coordinators and the engineering team, turning real industry problems into product requirements while also owning contractor onboarding and platform adoption. Equity, health care, an air ticket and a visa are listed among the benefits.
What the role involves
- Translate business needs, operational challenges and user feedback into product requirements, briefs, user stories, acceptance criteria and workflow documentation for the engineering team
- Prioritise features and improvements by user need, commercial value and operational impact, and test new features, flag issues and give structured feedback
- Identify, engage and onboard contractors and other businesses onto the platform, managing onboarding from first engagement through to sustained adoption
- Work directly with PRO managers, site coordinators and operational stakeholders, including time in their working environments, to map existing processes and understand practical requirements
- Recommend more efficient, scalable, technology-enabled ways of working, and help establish processes and operating procedures as the business grows
- Act as the link between customers, operational stakeholders and the product engineering team, and take ownership of projects from concept through to execution
Requirements noted by the source board
- Previous hands-on experience within UAE manpower supply, construction, contracting, PRO services or a closely related industry
- A strong understanding of the operational realities of the UAE market and the challenges faced by contractors, PRO managers and site coordinators
- Experience with operational processes, business requirements, workflow improvement or technology implementation
- Product management, business analysis, product operations, SaaS or software implementation experience is desirable, as is experience onboarding business customers onto digital platforms
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive, self-starting and analytical approach
- Applicants are asked to include 2–3 sentences on what they think is broken about how construction labour is managed in the UAE (as listed on the board)
