About this opening
Exclusive Talent Management is hiring a Senior Data Scientist in Abu Dhabi, on a contract basis, to turn large, document-heavy datasets into models that check rules and flag risk. The role covers generative AI and NLP for engineering documents, predictive modelling for supply chain questions, and the validation work that keeps model outputs trustworthy.
What the role involves
- Explore and analyse large domain-specific datasets from structured and unstructured sources, checking data quality before model development
- Design and fine-tune LLMs that parse regulatory texts and extract structured rules for automated compliance checking
- Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines that query technical documentation and historical project data accurately
- Develop time-series forecasting models for spend and material demand, and classifiers for supplier risk and operational anomalies
- Design pipelines that extract and transform raw data into the features predictive models and rule checks need
- Work with backend engineers to integrate models into engines callable through APIs, and validate outputs against test cases and historical data
Requirements noted by the source board
- Expert proficiency in Python and standard ML libraries such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Pandas and NumPy
- Deep experience with transformer-based models and prompt engineering for domain-specific tasks
- Proficiency handling complex data structures and database querying, and exposing models through RESTful APIs
- Solid grounding in statistics, probability and A/B testing, including identifying and reducing dataset bias
- 5+ years in data science, with models deployed into production environments (as listed on the board)
