RTC-1 Employment Services is hiring an AP Accountant in Umm Al Quwain for a petrochemical manufacturer and trader of paints, coatings, resins, adhesives and construction chemicals. The accountant runs the full accounts payable cycle in the ERP system, reconciles supplier statements, and keeps VAT treatment and payment controls correct.
What the role involves
- Handle the complete accounts payable cycle, recording transactions accurately and on time in the ERP system
- Prepare supplier statement reconciliations, monitor outstanding balances, and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies
- Process supplier payments in line with approved credit terms, payment schedules and company authorisation procedures
- Maintain accurate AP ledgers and accounts payable ageing reports, reconcile vendor accounts, and support monthly and year-end closing
- Keep VAT treatment, documentation and compliance with UAE accounting and tax requirements correct
- Coordinate with Procurement, Warehouse, Finance and suppliers to verify supporting documents, prevent duplicate or unauthorised payments, and support internal and external audits
Requirements noted by the source board

- Minimum 2 years of hands-on UAE experience specifically in Accounts Payable, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, trading or diversified group companies
- Experience with supplier invoice processing, PO/GRN matching, vendor reconciliations, payment preparation, AP ageing, general ledger entries and month-end closing, with working knowledge of UAE VAT regulations
- Practical experience with accounting or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics or Tally, and strong MS Excel skills including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy and organisational skills, with the ability to handle high-volume transactions and strict payment deadlines
