Royal Classic is hiring an HSE Engineer in Abu Dhabi to uphold health, safety and environmental standards across its fitout, maintenance and construction projects. The engineer develops HSE policies, runs site inspections and risk assessments, trains staff and subcontractors, investigates incidents, and tracks HSE performance and audit documentation.
What the role involves
- Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in compliance with local regulations and industry standards
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken
- Provide training and guidance to employees and subcontractors on health, safety, and environmental best practices
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and compile detailed reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence
- Monitor and report on HSE performance metrics and maintain all documentation related to safety audits and inspections
- Collaborate with project managers and other departments to integrate HSE considerations into project planning
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems on site
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement across all levels of the organization
