Sommerman Skinner Associates (SSA Limited) is recruiting a Senior QA/QC Manager in Dubai for a leading UAE civil and infrastructure contractor. The manager oversees quality assurance and quality control across major civil and infrastructure projects, within the contractor's SHEQ department, making sure construction works meet client and authority requirements.
What the role involves
- Implement and maintain quality management systems and procedures, ensuring consistent application across projects and alignment with ISO 9001 requirements
- Oversee the preparation and implementation of Project Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and associated procedures in line with specifications and contractual requirements
- Coordinate and support project QA/QC teams, setting priorities, reviewing performance and providing technical guidance on quality requirements
- Oversee inspection and testing activities for materials and construction works, coordinating with site teams, consultants and approved laboratories
- Manage non-conformance reporting, investigate recurring quality issues and ensure corrective actions address root causes and are verified before closure
- Assess supplier and subcontractor quality performance, ensuring materials, documentation and completed works meet project requirements
- Conduct and coordinate quality audits, monitor performance trends and report significant issues and improvement actions to relevant management teams
- Work with clients and consultants to resolve quality matters and oversee the completion of inspection records, test results and quality documentation required for handover
